Join us May 16th for the 3rd Annual Knoxville Blessing of the Fleet!
The Blessing of the Fleet was originally started in the Greek islands as a community effort to send off the fleet of seagoing vessels and their crews with prayers for safe passage and prosperity. The Greek people brought the tradition to the United States and BoatPro is bringing it to Knoxville!
Come and receive the blessing for you, your crew and your boat for safe and enjoyable 2015 boating season!
Please join us with your boat, filled with family and friends to be blessed by area clergy. The blessing will take place On The Water, in front of Concord Cove Park (That's near "Sailboat Cove" for you local boaters.) The blessing will be given via loud speaker from the BoatPro Flagship "License to Chill" Pictured Below.
This year we will "Parade" out from Fox Road Marina, stopping in front of Concord Marina with 3 horn blasts to gather followers, then proceed under the North Shore bridge headed to the cove.
We will depart Fox Road at 10:30 and aim to be at the cove around 11:00am. The Blessing will be given at 12:15 pm. After which Pastor Leonard Turner of the Union Cumberland Presbyterian Church will be available for individual blessing and prayers.
Joe "The Show" Enich willl be performing live music from the upperdeck of "License To Chill" before and after the blessing, so come and enjoy a free session of live music on the water!
Please join us at any point in the parade or meet us at the cove and tell your friends. This is a great kick off to summer and have you and your crew blessed for a safe and enjoyable 2015 boating season!
